Going Back to Your Search Results

Here's a simple tip that can save you time when searching in GenealogyBank.

Let's say that you did a search and have been going through each of the search results. You've looked at several records, and now you want to go back to your list of search results—but you don't want to use the back arrow to click back through each record that you've already examined.

There is a faster way to get back to that search results list.

Look at the top of the GenealogyBank search box and you'll see where you are in the process.

In this example, we are open to the first of many search results.

To go back to the search results list, simply click on the "Search Results" link at the top (for purposes of illustration, we've highlighted the link in yellow).

That will return you to the snippet view list of search results.

Keep an eye on the top of the screen everywhere you go in GenealogyBank. As you search the site a "bread crumb" trail will follow, making it easy to go back a step or two—or all the way back to where you began.

Quick and handy!
